You'll be connecting to the server within a second of a slot opening.

I haven't tried it with NS2, but usually you can keep the game open (on the main-menu), and set HLSW to auto-connect. Needless to say, I don't use the auto-join function any longer. After it finally started NS2 up and joined, my spot was taken. Then about 20 minutes later when the game ended, the steam client finally saw there was a spot to join and auto-kicked me out of the server I was connected to so that it could re-join the same server. The most annoying thing that happened to me was that I had the auto-join thing checked, but NS2 open and manually refreshed the list to see an opening and joined. It's easily enough time for someone else to snag an open spot before your client sees there is a spot.

QUOTE (Quovatis Aug 24 2011, 10:26 PM) But the time between auto-tries is quite long. The only way to do it is to use steam and set it to autojoin the server, but you can only do this with servers your friends are already playing on.īut the time between auto-tries is quite long. QUOTE (Wilson Aug 24 2011, 12:34 PM) You can't auto connect in-game right now.
